One of the big struggles I hear from clients is they don’t want to spend money and/or don’t have the extra money to spend on new outfits so they want to change up what they already have. When I work with clients I help them stop feeling frustrated and start feeling confident and an easy way to do that is to help them learn how to wear what they have.
Let’s be honest though…even if we have the money, shopping is not fun for everyone. Let me say that again, for many, shopping for clothes is not fun. In fact, for a lot of women it’s super stressful so they stick to what’s comfortable. Some of my clients share that they would really like to stop feeling overlooked and invisible but shopping is so overwhelming they don’t go.
So one easy way to change the look of an outfit is to change the shoes and accessories. For example, I took the same outfit, a denim skirt and a white top and made three different looks by wearing the outfit with a fun Emmy Wedge Sandal in red by Vionic Shoes, a fun raffia sandal by Sam Edelman, and a pair of casual sneakers by Steve Madden.
You could change the look of the outfit even more with a different purse, clutch or crossbody and even more so with a pair of fun earrings, a long necklace or several necklaces layered, and/or some bangles.
By changing the focal point you are changing the look of the outfit (using shoes and accessories). The focal point is where someones eyes go when they see you. When women walk into a room many fear everyone is looking at “X” body part. You know the one they are most self conscious about. The reality is everyone is likely looking at your beautiful smile.
