More often than not I hear from clients that black is a mainstay in their closet and they want to add more color but are unsure how. Having fun with color is a regular activity in my closet and I love to share how easy it can be to mix and match with items you may already have.
This week I want to share how I have fun with color by creating outfits using a new pair of Colette Cropped Wide-Leg Pants I found at Anthropologie. The color is called blue ground but it’s pretty close to electric blue and perfect for spring and summer.
Here is how I had fun with color pairing the pants five different ways:
- a white tee and linen blazer
- geometric print camisole
- a navy blazer
- floral print top
- white gauze top
Some other ways you could have fun with color would be to pair the pants with a:
- white, navy, or black button down
- grey, ivory or navy shell
You could be even more bold and choose an orange or purple t-shirt or graphic tee with those colors in it.
These Colette Cropped Wide-Leg Pants are available in ten different colors and can be a great addition to your wardrobe this spring. Having fun with color can be out of your comfort zone so start small and pair a bright color with black, white, grey or another neutral that you’re comfortable with.
